“There are twelve of them,” Halyard interrupted. “Each one selects books for a specific type of reader.”
“There are twelve types of readers?” said Khashdrahr.
“There is now talk of a thirteenth and fourteenth,” said Halyard. “The line has to be drawn somewhere, of course…”

Welcome to White Rabbit.
This is your invitation.
An invitation to edge into the unknown. To discover unopened doors of perception. To walk through forgotten portals with old friends and new. To laugh and enjoy the simple pleasures and bizarre power of the written word.
White Rabbit is a space. A space to unwrap language and peer through the portals hidden just underneath the surface. Portals of love. Portals of loss. Portals of beauty. Portals of the profoundly bizarre. Portals of the human experience. You are entering a reading space for the people by the people. It is a collective agreement to respect the experiences of others, but also understand the common threads that bind us. To playfully challenge stable points of view. To realize that we all live on the edge. And through this realization understand the absurdity and majesty of existence. That life is a cosmic comedy and we all have a role to play. Or in this case, read. And through our collective reading we will strive to find our individual edge, the precipice from where our own adventures begin.
Join us and let’s see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Our next session will be Thursday 6th August at 8.00pm, hosted by Brooks Bebon.
For this meeting we will be discussing chapters 9 & 10 of Eknath Easwarn's translation of "The Bhagavad Gita" as well as all of Toni Morrison's novel "Beloved".
Please try and do the reading beforehand, but don't let that discourage you from showing up! We are an open and ever-growing group with a wide-range of readers. Each meeting is a stand-alone discussion, so don't let missing one prevent you from coming to another session.
