Sofia has a decade of experience in teaching various styles of yoga such as yin, vinyasa, restorative, bikram and hatha. With certificates in bikram, vinyasa and pilates, her classes are designed to explore the connection between breath and movement, and to inspire her students to explore the intricate relationships between different parts of the body.
Sofia also holds a Master of Research degree in philosophy which has deepened her fascination for yoga and mindfulness. Her philosophical research is focused on consciousness and intersects the fields of physics, biomedicine and psychology. She considers the body to be a highly advanced and complex observatory with a language on its own. With this approach, Sofia always encourages her students to listen to the subtle queues from the body in order to challenge themselves from a place that’s safe.
